Don Bosco KEP – On February 21, 2024 Tonight, I would like to say we are greeting, and Welcome Mr. Gerad Vanahal and his wife with Biggles Big Band Amsterdam to perform in Don Bosco Hatrans School Kep Province for father teachers and students. This is a history of Don Bosco Hatrans Kep Province. With lovely, supporting from our Sponsors for young people and Children in Cambodia.

Also, at 10:30 in the morning, the band had some performances of their music and performed with Don Bosco Youth Music.

History

Biggles Big Band is a jazz orchestra from Amsterdam, The Netherlands conducted by Sir Adrie Braat.

Biggles Big Band consists of 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxophones, guitar, piano, acoustic bass, drums, and vocalist André Rabini. An extra string quartet consisting of 2 violins, viola and cello adds a sensational musical experience to Biggles Big Band. 

Conductor Sir Adrie Braat founded the orchestra in 1985. Biggles Big Band has in recent years become a regular visitor in Thailand, playing concerts across the whole country. In February 2024, Biggles will visit Thailand for the 10^th time and Cambodia for the first time. Apart from playing concerts, a substantial part of our activities includes visiting schools and conservatories to give musical masterclasses and workshops on jazz music. As in previous years, special attention will be given to workshops for less privileged children. These workshops proved to be a great success during the past tours, therefore Biggles Big Band wishes to continue such good cause. Our goal is to support young children’s musical education, sustainable energy, eco-tourism and cultural exchange cooperation between the three kingdoms of Thailand, Cambodia and The Netherlands.
