Phnom Penh, Cambodia – The Commission for Formation of the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia International, animated by Fr. Ceferino Ledesma, organized a seminar on midlife at the newly established Salesian House of the Delegation in Phnom Penh.
The seminar was led by Rev. Msgr. Ramon Masculino Jr. of the Archdiocese of Jaro, Philippines, and Psychologist Dr. Cynthia Baga of GAMOT Resources, which focuses on healing from the roots through an integrative approach to celebrating human development and transformation.
The three-day activity included holistic topics such as the tasks and challenges of midlife, spirituality, priesthood, and the motivation for human integration and happiness in the face of the passing of time. These discussions were inspired by the archetypal images of Carl Gustav Jung, such as the persona, shadow, and anima/animus.
Twelve Salesian missionaries of the Cambodian delegation participated in the activity led by Msgr. Ramon and Dr. Cynthia. This event also provided an opportunity to come together in a mission where distance and numerous activities are characteristic of daily life. Fr. Roel Soto concluded the seminar with the Holy Mass at the Delegation chapel, while Fr. Ceferino and Fr. Samnang thanked the lecturers for their dynamic reflections and challenges to improve Salesian life and community.
