Don Bosco Cambodia Volunteers’ Retreat: A Journey of Reflection, Prayer, and Fellowship

1–2 minutes

From Tuesday, December 3, to Friday, December 6, the volunteers of Don Bosco Cambodia gathered for a spiritual retreat that brought together members from the communities of Kep, Poipet, and Sihanoukville. This event was organized to strengthen the spirit of service and unity among the volunteers and was marked by moments of prayer, meditation, and interior silence, as well as enriching team-building activities.

The retreat was guided by Fr. Arun, SDB, who delivered inspiring talks based on the Strenna 2025 and Pope Francis’ bull for the Jubilee Year 2025. These moments of reflection highlighted the importance of living in communion, focusing on hope and reconciliation as central themes for the upcoming jubilee year.

In addition to the spiritual sessions, the volunteers had the opportunity to connect on a deeper level, share their experiences, and strengthen the bonds that unite them as a community in service to the Salesian mission in Cambodia. This retreat was not only an opportunity for personal growth but also a step toward building stronger and more committed teamwork.

The gathering concluded with a renewed spirit among the participants, who returned to their respective communities with a deeper sense of mission and a stronger connection to Salesian spirituality.
