The Christmas Oratory Filled the Children of Sihanoukville with Joy

1–2 minutes

Sihanoukville experienced a magical day with the traditional Christmas Oratory, where more than a hundred children gathered to celebrate and share the spirit of this beautiful season.

The event, organized by the Salesian community, transformed the space into a place filled with laughter, songs, and games. The children participated in recreational activities such as sports competitions, Christmas crafts, and group dynamics that fostered friendship and solidarity.

There were also moments of reflection and spirituality. A brief narration of the birth of Jesus reminded the children of the true meaning of Christmas: love, peace, and hope.

The most emotional moment of the day was the exchange of small gifts, where each child gave and received a token, symbolizing generosity and sharing with others. The celebration ended with a special snack that everyone enjoyed in a warm and festive atmosphere.

This Christmas Oratory not only gave the children an unforgettable day but also reinforced the values that inspire the Salesian community to continue their mission for children and youth in Sihanoukville.  The magic of Christmas has left a lasting impression on everyone’s hearts!
