Phnom Penh – On the afternoon of April 25, 2025, Brother Roberto Panetto, SDB, President of the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia, and Fr.Eugene Xalxo,SDB, President of the Don Bosco International Foundation, attended the memorial ceremony for Pope Francis. The ceremony was held at the Phnom Penh Pastoral Center, located in New Phnom Penh.

The ceremony was attended by many faithful, who came together to show their respect and offer prayers for the soul of the dearly revered Pope of the Catholic Church.

Brother Roberto Panetto expressed his deep sorrow at the passing of the Pope, stating:
“Pope Francis was an extraordinary figure, a man who promoted peace and loved all people. We will forever remember him.”

Similarly,Fr.Eugene Xalxo,SDB said:
“Pope Francis was a model of simplicity, love, and devotion to the mission of God. His loss is one of the greatest losses for the Christian world.”
