On the morning of June 15, 2025, students, teachers, and numerous distinguished guests participated in the 8th National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Day celebration, held under the theme:
“TVET: Creating Job Opportunities and Building Hope for Youth.”
The event was presided over by H.E. Dr. Som Piseth, Governor of the Kep Provincial Administration.
The purpose of the event was to promote awareness and community participation in supporting Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a crucial pathway to employment and national economic development. The program featured student skill demonstrations, exhibitions of technical achievements, and a showcase of various technical products.
H.E. Dr. Som Piseth remarked:
“TVET is the foundation for building a skilled workforce that is prepared to enter the job market. It not only helps reduce unemployment but also serves as an important option for youth to pursue self-employment and contribute to national economic productivity. Kep Province consistently supports and promotes this sector by collaborating with educational institutions and development partners to ensure that young people have opportunities to grow personally and contribute to society as the next generation of leaders.”
It is worth noting that the 8th National TVET Day 2025 is a significant event that highlights the value of technical and vocational education as a key driver of employment and sustainable economic development. The day serves as an opportunity to raise public awareness and allows educational institutions—such as technical institutes and Don Bosco schools—to exhibit the talents and achievements of their students.
