Brother Roberto Panetto (SDB) led the technical and vocational training of thousands of Cambodian refugees in camps along the Cambodian-Thai border in the 1980s. On May 24, 1991, Brother Panetto, along with two other priests, (approved by our Provincial of THA Province))opened a technical and vocational training schools/Centers to help over tens thousands of poor Cambodian youth.
From 2005 to the present, Brother Panetto is the president of the Don Bosco Foundation Cambodia (local organization).
From 1992 to 2025, DBFC has opened 10 schools and centers, 4 in Phnom Penh, 3 in Battambang Province, 1 in Banteay Meanchey Province, 1 in Preah Sihanouk Province, and 1 in Kep Province, with approximately 80,000 poor children and students studying.
