Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of October 1, 2025, Father Eugene Calgo, representative of the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia, led a delegation in a courtesy meeting with His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
To begin the meeting, the head of the organization expressed his profound joy and gratitude to His Excellency for granting the audience, which provided an opportunity for the foundation to present its progress and challenges. The delegation also welcomed the chance to receive valuable guidance and recommendations from His Excellency.
His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron highlighted the longstanding partnership between the Don Bosco Foundation of Cambodia and the Ministry of Education, praising the unwavering dedication and commitment of the foundation’s leadership and staff in providing education and vocational training to underprivileged youth across Cambodia for over three decades.
It is worth noting that the Don Bosco Foundation began its mission in Cambodia in 1991. Over the past 34 years, it has educated and trained tens of thousands of students. In 2025 alone, the foundation is providing education and vocational training to more than 4,000 students, in alignment with the Royal Government of Cambodia’s policy to promote practical skills and inclusive development.
