75th Anniversary of Sister Camel’s Approval of the Pope

Kep City – Sister Camille of the Heart of Jesus is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the pope’s approval. On this occasion, Pope Francis gave them full patience to the faithful who attended the Mass in This opportunity during this year.

Sister Camel has been associated with the Salesian Mission in Cambodia since 2016, when Salesian requested their presence in Don Bosco Kep to assist as guardians of children and youth. The first sisters to arrive in Cambodia on October 1, 2016 were Ho Anita Naval from Mexico as a nurse and Sister Miliramirez from Peru, a child education specialist. In 2019, Sister Maria Aramona Kutiirez from Mexico joined the mission. On December 12, 2019, the Governor of the Diocese of Phnom Penh, Olivier Schmidt-Isler, approved the establishment of their community within Don Bosco Kep in agreement with the Salesians.

We join their sisters in celebrating and appreciating their participation in the Salesian Mission in Cambodia. For this reason, we celebrated the Holy Mass with our students, teachers and friends on April 27, 2024 at Don Bosco’s hometown and with a large portrait of Mother Loisita.
